Humanity’s Leprosy
Hast thou no scar on foot or side or hand;
I hear thee sung as mighty in this land.
I hear them hail thy ascending star;
Hast thou no scar,
Hast thou no wound?
Yet I was wounded by the archer spent leaned me against a trees
and with ravaging beasts that compassed me I swooned.
Hast thou no wound?
Hast thou no scar?
Yet as the Master so the disciple shall be
and pierced are the hands that follow Me.
But thine are whole?
Can he have followed far who has no wound no scar?
Humanity is leprous. We suffer from the depths of disfigurement through the sins of our life from age 7 and on. These sins cause us to shy away from the discipline of the Cross. We want to appear whole and strong when in reality we are riddled with a spiritual leprosy that eats away at our heart. In this sickness of the spirit we learn to cry out in humble confessions: Lord, have mercy on my soul.
Spiritual greats like St. Teresa, St. Catherine of Siena, St. John of the Cross teach usthat the path to wholeness is through a recognition of our nothingness. If there is any goodness in us it is due to the infinite love and mercy of God. God first loved us and that makes us lovable. When we share this lovableness with our neighbor then our spiritual leprosy is healed one cell at a time.
Leprosy in the heart is a discoloration of the truth revealed by our Lord and King. In other words we hold to a heresy and it must be corrected with the power of the Truth. High praise is given to the doctors of the faith. They battled the mental heretics of their time and now we must battle the modernists of our day. As the modernists employ evolution to change doctrine so we must hold to tradition to walk the path to salvation.
The hammer of heretics, our Blessed Mother, stands at our side to crush the deceits of the demonic which are appearing most clearly in our media and its bias; in the entertainment fields of movies and sports; in the politics of the demon-crats who want to save the earth from global warming by killing more babies. Satan produces insanity because that is the soil of his soul. He was insane to grasp at equality with God and now he propagates that insanity among helpless men. The demon-crats are saturated with the errors of Satan and they have no conscience left to recognize their sin, their leprosy.
What can we do to overcome this leprosy of humanity? First, review your faith by means of a traditional catechism. Second, increase your devotion to our Lady’s Immaculate Heart and to our Lord’s Sacred Heart (review the promises offered to poor sinners like you and me). Third, silent time is a must in the world of action and noise. Fourth, read spiritual books on the heroes of our faith and pick up something of the saint to imitate. Fifth, as often as possible confess sincerely and prepare well to receive our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. In these action steps you will walk yourself completely out of your leprosy. These actions bespeak your adoration and gratitude for the mercy that God has shown you.
Finally, do not be surprised by whatever comes out of heretical Rome. Pray for this misguided anti-pope Francis for he will not fare well with the Lord he is supposed to represent faithfully. The amazon synod will complement the German synod and paganism will be lauded as if it were the new age of Catholic life. Be not deceived but be enlightened by their actions you will realize that these prelates are false shepherds seeking to neglect God’s ways and substitute them with political machinations. May our Lord and our Lady lead the way for of ourselves we can do nothing but with their guidance we can do all things.
