“I came to give testimony to the Truth.” Pilate cried out in response “What is truth?” God is Truth; God is Light and God is Love. The Divine Trinity is forever true, illuminating and sacrificial. For this reason the Father sent the Son to give testimony to the Truth. Now the Son will send the Holy Ghost to lead us to the fullness of Truth. The principle is clear: one cannot give what one does not have. Only those who believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of the Father can come to know and serve the Truth.
As the Jewish synagogue rejected the obvious nature of the Savior so they rejected the salvation He offered in the Truth He spoke. Those who are of the Truth recognize the triune nature of God. Three Person in one Godhead was revealed by the Son. Reason must yield to faith in the question of the mysterious God Who so loved the children of men that He sent His only-begotten Son to reclaim through the shedding of His Blood these beloved and sinful children.
To testify that Jesus is the divine Son of the Eternal God one must love the truth which He revealed. That truth is manifested in the actions of our Lord Jesus Christ. He touched the leper and he was cleansed immediately of the disease. He spoke to the centurion and said that his son was well. His word in that very moment healed the sick child. The blind had only to cry out: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” His interior sight recognized the Savior and his physical sight was returned. The miracles of our Lord magnified his person and testified to His divinity.
Consider and reflect upon this: how many souls have you seen or heard about that ascended from this earth without effort. It can be stated that 100% of mankind descends into the dust of the earth while their soul goes before the just Judge. Our Lord alone had a good number of witnesses testifying to the reality of his Resurrection and Ascension. Only in this eternal reality do we who descend into the earth from which we came have hope of eternal life.
Jesus testifies to the truth that our priority will be confirmed by the gift of the Holy Ghost who will inspire us with the fullness of Truth. All lies will be exposed. All error will be
eradicated and only Truth will remain. We sanctify our souls in the truth that we carry within them. It is difficult to come to the truth because of our fallen nature which lost the infused knowledge that God intended for us. Now we have to struggle to read and reflect; we have to fight for the light of Christ to enter our souls; we have to love purity which is the condition for truth.
In our quest for the truth turn to Mary. She alone can healed our fallen nature and draw us up into the heart of the Holy Ghost. Her holy rosary, the humblest of prayers, is designated to conquer the errors of the demonic and grant us the power to penetrate the truth that will set us free. Imitate the saints who so loved the Blessed Virgin that they spread the devotion to the “highest” honor of our race. With a world and church filled with lies and errors we need to prayer more fervently that ever before. June 13th we will again gather in St. Cloud at Lake George to pray in reparation for the sin of abortion. Even the president called for more prayer and not less. Let us heed the call of our Mother and do all we can to stop the contagion of communism infecting every corner of our society.
