Last Sunday After Pentecost 2019

The End of It All

Are you experiencing a certain question which wonders about where we are headed? Do you sense the division which is worldwide and not just in the states? What about the abuse of doctrine dividing what used to be the Catholic Church? In these questions the word of God in Matt. 24 points us to the answer that is essential for our balance in a rapidly changing world. Three considerations will mark this reflection:

1. The signs of the final battle;
2. The centrality of our Lord’s words and works in our approach to it all and
3. The final outcome = a judgment perfectly just.

Check out face book or consider the tweets and you will notice that there is battle going on between those who have faith and those who have rejected faith. In essence it reminds us of the classical work of St. Augustine: The tale of two cities. One focuses upon the world and the desire of the elite to subordinate everyone to their abundant wisdom. In fact they become so bold as to claim the position of God within society. They elevate their humanity and take over the holy place with their constructed “abomination of desolation”. They do not recognize that their satanic submission leads only to the final days of life itself. They have followed their master to the point of offering him the blood of their sons and daughters on the altar of abortion.

That’s all satan wants is the worship of his non-being (I am who am not). In the mass murder of innocent children the devil ridicules the Creator Whom he rejected. In rejecting the divine love he lifts up hatred and the abomination of nations enters the holy Church which has been infiltrated by a Modernist crew of bishops and Pope who are more concerned about ecological sin than about the mortal sin of abortion. Like a dog on a leash God lets the evil one work his wiles until such time that man will search in vain for the real presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How should we respond? We are to remain calm and recollected. We know now that the end is near and a new heaven and a new earth are about to be presented to those who have been faithful to the holy rosary and wearing the sign of Marian devotion, the holy scapular. These two weapons relieve the anxiety of the faithful Catholic and assure such a one that Christ is with him/her. No need to run anywhere or search anywhere but your own heart. All the turmoil that will come upon us only strengthens our belief that the victory will be all the more glorious. We know that this world was wounded by the action of Adam and Eve when they ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When that sin entered their hearts it also dug itself deeply into the soil of this earth. No Pachamama, no ecological act will prevent the earth from yielding to the consequence of sin…it will end.

As St. Paul teaches us “this world is futile.” In the end we will have the opportunity of entering the sixth age of this world and the Church. In that age of Mary, the peace will be so tangible that no one can disturb it. It will be a reaction to the battle between St. Michael and the fallen angels mentioned in the first paragraphs. Our Lady will crush the head of the serpent and grant the world a beautiful experience of true peace in which the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart will rule. As wonderful as this peace shall be there is still our wounded nature to contend with and we quickly forget what we have gone through and revert back to sin. Then the seventh age will enter and it will be even more corrupt than our present age. At that time the true anti-Christ will be raised up to govern this sin filled world. It will be this age that will issue in the final general judgment.

In the final judgment we will all be present and witness the justice of the merciful God. The just will be escorted to the kingdom of divine love while the evil ones will find their wisdom turned to stupidity. The just will cry out joyfully: “In His Will is our Peace. “The evil ones will lament saying “We could have saved our souls.” Their regret will tear at their heart for eternity. How gruesome to think of their torment forever and ever. Matthew 24 is a serious warning which Our Lady clarified by her apparitions at Fatima, LaSalette, Akita. Let us prepare ourselves for this time of chastisement for we have not stopped sinning but are sinning more and more each day. Let us pray many rosaries and seek to save as many souls as we can.

When all is said and done only one thing will matter to us: by the Love of God we were able to save our souls. Our devotion to Mary is the sure sign of our predestination while those who neglect her will find themselves wailing and weeping in the darkness outside. Let us keep in mind the end and we will avoid sin like the plague. God bless and protect each of you.

In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Fr. Richard Voigt, S.D.B
