Passion Sunday 2020

“I am the Lord, your God, thou shalt not have strange gods before me.” There is no option in the commandment for souls to substitute self for God. In Him, we live and move and have our very being. WE belong to Him and Him alone. On this Passion Sunday the plot against the very person of God becomes very clear and it will continue to this very hour and we must meditate upon this plot.

In the U.S. constitution we have stated that every man is born with inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These rights flow from our intimate union with God. The first attack on these rights comes from an attack against the very person of Jesus. He Who healed the sick, the blind, the leprous, the dead and taught the depth of God’s law was called a demon. The Jew stated that in their judgment Jesus was a Samaritan and possessed of a demon. Interesting was the Lord’s response: I have no demon but I honor the Father while you dishonor me.

Innocent and goodness flow from the very being of the Son of Man but the Jew could only project their own attachment to the Evil One. Our Lord presents us all with the truth through the words He speaks but much like the Jew we fail to hear. Is it because we have sought the flesh, the pleasures of this world or have we been deceived by the devil. Principle number one: he who hears the word of God is by that fact “of God”.

Another important point is the fact that Jesus never denied being called a “Samaritan” which means “guardian”. He would tell the story of the Good Samaritan in which the Lord comes to fallen and beaten man and gives him the help needed for his salvation. Our Lord comes to all of us in order to present the word of revelation and to exemplify that word by His Divine Love for us. In a solemn way Jesus states: “Amen, amen, I say to you: if any man keep my word, he shall not see death forever.”

Now the Jews heard this word and took it on the basis of human material life neglecting the fact that the supernatural is far greater and everlasting. Instead they questioned our Lord observing that Abraham died, the prophets died, everyone dies. Do you think You are greater than “our father Abraham”?

Satan always questions in order to produce doubt. Recall the garden scene in which he asked Eve “did God say that you could not eat from these trees?” No, she replied, we can eat of all the trees in the garden but for the one in the middle, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We must not touch it lest we die. “You shall not die,” Satan responded, “God knows that if you eat of that fruit you will become like Him knowing good and evil.” Doubt sown and the sin followed.

Jesus turned to the reality that it is God Who glorified Him. He states that He knows the Father and if He said that he didn’t then He would be like the Jew, a liar. Jesus holds to the word of God Whom the Jew says is their God but they neglect the truth. The Word is not in them as it was in Abraham who saw the day of the Lord and rejoiced. What, cried out the Jews, You are not yet 50 years of age and You have seen Abraham? The response of our Lord is so precious: “Amen, amen, I say to you that before Abraham came to be, I am.” Now the liars pick up stones and would have killed Him. Murder is always the answer when one cannot bear the truth. Our Lord walked through their midst for His Hour had not yet come. Throughout this lent we have been told that our Lord would go to Jerusalem in order to be crucified not stoned.

This Jewish mentality reigns supreme today for truth is not in the Zionist Jew. Instead a desire penetrates their interior which urges them to be masters of this world. The devil is adored by them and so they have received the dominion over the nations of this world. They will drive all inhabitants into a mass slavery because they are sons of a murderer and a liar. They will follow the footsteps of him who said: “I will not serve.” This is contrary to the words of Jesus who told his apostles “I did not come to be served but to serve.” In effect this is what we witness throughout society today and the revolution of the demonic is in full force and we rejoice that the time is coming for the heel of our dear mother Mary to crush the serpent and all his minions. Pray the rosary for that end.

In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Fr. Voigt
